Mount Vernon Fire Department visits Graham School

Mount Vernon Fire Department visits Graham School

Graham School welcomed the Mount Vernon Fire Department on Thursday and Friday, October 24 and 25, 2024. The pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade classes enjoyed a demonstration on subjects such as “stop, drop and roll,” calling 911, and what an escape plan was. They were also able to sit on the fire truck and carry the fire hose. What a great experience for the little scholars! Thank you to the Mount Vernon Fire Department!

Dad and daughter.

To celebrate Father's Day, Graham School held its first PTA Daddy Daughter Dance on Monday, June 17, 2024.  All father figures, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, mentors and role models were invited to attend.  The event was well attended, and the families danced the night away as the DJ played all the hit songs and line dances.

Graham School Earth Day

Graham School students celebrated Earth Day by preparing the school’s gardens on Friday, April 26, 2024. Coach Craig Zern took his physical education classes to the gardens and educated the young gardeners about re-growth and weeds. He instructed students on proper body mechanics to avoid soreness.

Fourth-grade band students at Graham School unwrapped their new instruments during music class to play trombones and trumpets on Thursday, April 4, 2024. These new and newly repaired instruments came after the school received a grant from the Guitar Center Music Foundation for musical instruments and mouthpieces.
